You probably don’t remember the moment you got overlooked. Maybe it was quiet, just a name left off a roster, a phone call that never came, or a coach who politely smiled and said, “He’s a good kid, but I don’t see it.” Or maybe it was loud, getting cut, riding the bench, watching someone with less grit and less fire get the scholarship or the starting job.

Either way, it hurts. And I know that hurt.

Because I’ve lived it. I’ve seen it on my sons’ faces. I’ve felt it in my gut while standing behind a bullpen fence watching one of my guys light it up, and still not get the call. And I’ve heard it in the voice of every parent who’s asked me, “Coach, are we too late?”

Let me tell you something:

No. You’re not too late. You’ve just been told the wrong story.

You’ve been told that if you don’t throw 95 by 16, it’s over. You’ve been told that your mechanics are broken, that you’re “just not built for it,” or that you don’t have the mental makeup. You’ve been told the game is about clean lines, tight angles, and perfect positions. What if the game centers on chaos, and greatness means staying steady under pressure?

See, that’s the story they don’t tell. Because most coaches don’t know how to train it. But we do.

At The ARMory, we don’t believe in cookie-cutter mechanics. We believe in finding your attractors, your movement truths, and making them bulletproof. We don’t believe in “just work harder.” We believe in working smarter, with purpose, guided by real science, deep anatomical understanding, and the wisdom of thousands of pitchers who came before you. We don’t believe talent is given. We believe it’s forged.

So why do I keep fighting?

Because I’ve seen the overlooked kid become the Opening Day starter. I’ve seen the kid with the broken arm, the failed surgeries, the 74-mph fastball, stand on a pro mound and shove 93 under the lights. I’ve seen parents cry when their son gets his first offer, not because it was a full ride, but because someone finally believed.

That’s why we built The ARMory.
That’s why I wrote nine books on baseball player development.
That’s why we've invested millions into building a world-class facility, equipped with the most advanced technology in the game … to give every player the tools and insights they deserve.
That’s why I wake up every day ready to study, coach, write, and fight.

Not just for the phenom. Not just for the overlooked. But for every single player who walks through our doors. Because whether you're a big leaguer or a little leaguer, a surefire draft pick or a kid just trying to make the travel team, you are the most important person in someone’s life.

And that means you’ll get every ounce of my energy, compassion, knowledge, and skill … every second of every day.

You’re not a number on a radar gun. You’re not a flaw on a biomechanics report. You’re someone’s son. You’re someone’s whole world. And around here, that means everything.

So, I’ll keep fighting. Because I know what’s possible. And because I’ve never met a kid, or even a grown man, who didn’t deserve someone in his corner.

Let's get to work.
